So It’s Actually Not Funny

3D-rendered laptop exploring various digital materials (acrylic, ceramic, glass); 2024

This luscious little jelly laptop was inspired by a recent conversation with my wife. She told me a piece of compromising yet hilarious information, which I laughed at.

She then had to inform me that, in fact, it actually wasn’t supposed to be funny.

MTV Gloop

3D logo exploration featuring MTV's iconic and playful logo mark; 2024

Combining handmade letterforms (“TV”) and the playful nature of MTV’s branding, I built out a 3D character utilizing positive and negative shapes and bold textures and colors.

Men Are Weak

3D-built hardcover book with chrome cover, spine, and back; 3D glass-lettering title; detailed inner pages designed with intentionally scattered placements to really hammer home the recognizability and three-dimensionality of the book; 2024

Learning, creating, and experimenting are not only part of my design practice, but part of my personal practice as a human being. I don’t journal in the traditional sense, but my graphic explorations tend to serve as a bit of a journal—a self-portrait snapped (or 3D-rendered) in time, just like a journal entry.

This was a particularly grisly day as a woman, wherein I let a man make a turn in front of me, and his response was to yell out his window as he went by, calling me a “fucking idiot.” Awesome!

Banana Baby

3D-built banana with odd baby arms and legs; 2024

An exploration of form and texture that resulted in a bouncing baby boy… that is also a banana. I wanted to try a realistic skin as well as custom shape-building on a three-dimensional path.

Glass Weenie

3D-built representation of one of my dogs, affectionally known as Weenie (real name: Cleopatra); 2024

This beefy glass baby was an experiment in object mirroring (look at all those legs).
